We are honoured to inform you about Professional Discourse & Communication

PDC aims at publishing cutting-edge timely high-quality papers on professional communication which is broadly understood as a special type of human interpersonal interaction to organize, carry out and optimize any activities within business, economic, political, diplomatic, legal, academic and other professional spheres.

Submission is opened for:

Volume 3 Issue 2 (scheduled to be published in June 2021)

Volume 3 Issue 3 (scheduled to be published in September 2021)

Volume 3 Issue 4 (scheduled to be published in December 2021)

Volume 4 Issue 1 (scheduled to be published in March 2022)

Professional Discourse & Communication is a high-quality open-access peer-reviewed quarterly international journal dedicated to discussing various theoretical and applied problems of professional communication. Its articles provide researchers and practitioners with the most up-to-date, comprehensive and important research, paying specific attention to modern linguistic approaches to professional discourse as well as practical aspects of teaching methodology as related to the language of particular professional spheres.

The journal specifically addresses readers in any field of professional communication (business, legal, diplomatic, economic, political, academic, medical, art and any other professional sphere) who are interested in qualitative discourse analytical approaches, on the one hand, and scholars who are interested in issues of professional communication (discourse studies, functional linguistics, pragmatics, semiotics, rhetoric, linguosynergetics, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, stylistics, cross-cultural communication, cultural studies, country studies, second language acquisition and teaching methodology, and related fields), on the other hand.

PDC welcomes papers which

  • explore speculative ideas in discourse studies, functional linguistics, pragmatics, semiotics, rhetoric, linguosynergetics, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, stylistics, cross-cultural communication, culture studies, country studies, second language acquisition and teaching methodology;
  • concern issues of professional discourse and communication;
  • are written in innovative ways, or are presented in experimental ways;
  • are written in either English or Russian.

Professional Discourse & Communication publishes 

  • substantial research papers and empirical studies, 
  • discussion essays and opinion articles, 
  • theoretical overviews, 
  • reviews of scientific books,
  • reviews of scientific conferences.
