Dr. Evgeniya V. Ponomarenko is Dr. Sci. (Philology), Professor in the Department of the English language #4 at MGIMO University. She has authored and co-authored more than 110 publications, including 3 monographs and 8 edited collections; sits on the expertise board of Russian Journal of Linguistics. Her articles are published not only in Russia, but also abroad. Dr. Ponomarenko has elaborated the fundamentals of functional linguosynergetics in her Doctoral thesis. More than 10 PhD dissertations on Linguistics have been defended under her scientific supervision.

Research interests include functional linguistics, pragmatics, systemacy issues, discourse analysis, rhetoric and culture of business communication, linguosynergetics, English theoretical grammar, Business English communication teaching, British and American studies.
